Happy 35th Anniversary NJRC! It was a conference and celebration to remember. Our Conference attendance was 132 of which 36 were our Corporate Global Mobility Members. Our day began with a Corporate-Only Round Table hosted by Everbank and we were honored to have Peggy Smith, President and CEO of Worldwide ERC as a guest participant. We kicked-off our General Session with our Keynote Speaker, Peggy Smith of WERC; “It is the best of times, it is the most exciting, the most challenging and the most promising of times!” Our afternoon began with a journey through the history of NJRC with our Past President’s Tribute led by Sharon Byrnes and Jeff Cromie. Afterwards we had a Household Goods Industry update by Scott Michael, President and CEO of The American Movers Association followed by an interactive and collaborative session “Around the Room with Mobility Leaders, where the topics of global mobility were discussed with our panelist of five Corporate Global Mobility Professionals and our audience. Our conference ended with a game of Jeopardy “This is Jeopardy!” where friendly competition emerged amongst the audience as the teams consisting of 10 tables of 10 or more participants responded to answers relating to Global Mobility, 80’s Pop Culture, NJRC/WERC then and now…..while our host; Ron Labin a.k.a. Alex Trebek and his assistants Sharon Byrnes & Julie Cibelli engaged the audience in their 80’s attire.
Our day concluded with a Celebration of our 35th Anniversary. Fun was had by all! We networked, reflected back on past conferences, gathered with old and new friends to take photos in silly attire in our photo booth while the DJ played music from the 80’s. Truly a celebration worthy of our 35 years and a journey which was made possible by the support of our Volunteers, Members and Sponsors……Cheers!
