Charitable Initiatives

The New Jersey Relocation Council’s Community Outreach Program aims to strengthen our community through charitable giving and advance the common good. We strive to raise awareness of charitable organizations and inspire our members with opportunities to get involved. In the past, this program has sponsored and donated to both local and global foundations. Thanks to the generosity of our members and sponsors, we have organized fundraisers in support of United Way, Family Promise of Morris County, Boys & Girls Club of Mercer County, Salvation Army, American Red Cross, and A Breath for Alessandra.

Empowering Home Ownership: Our Support for Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity

The New Jersey Relocation Council is excited to sponsor Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity, hosting volunteer build days on April 23rd and 24th, 2026.

RVHFH builds affordable homes for low-income families through community volunteer efforts. Families participate in the construction and purchase their homes with affordable mortgages, ensuring ongoing access to housing. By working with RVHFH, families gain the skills and financial education necessary for successful homeownership, empowering them to seize the opportunity that decent, affordable housing represents.

RVHFH current homeowners revealed significant positive impacts:

  • 94% attribute improvements in health, safety, financial security, education, and community involvement to homeownership.
  • 94% feel safer in their new Habitat home compared to their previous situation.
  • 78% report better educational experiences for their children.
  • 100% of those using public assistance before owning a Habitat home no longer need that support.

Join us in supporting this vital mission! Volunteer for our build days or donate @ https://rvhabitat.org/donate/

Thank you for your commitment to making a difference!
